History
From the beginning, the Sessions Court of Panchmahals District was functioning in Godhra from Bharuch District for the joint jurisdiction of Bharuch and Dahod District. The sitting arrangement of the said Sessions Court, was made in the Ground Floor, of State Government Vishramgruh, and the residence of the Sessions Judge was on the first floor of the said Vishramgruh. In the year – 1962 bifurcation of Bharuch District and Panchmahals District was made. In the year – 1968-69, the first court building of Sessions Court of Panchmahals was constructed nearby National High Way No. 5 on west side of Godhra-Vadodara Road. After some years the first floor of the said building was constructed. From time to time necessary additions and alterations have been done in this building. At present four Appellate Courts are functioning in the said building.
